Thank you for a fabulous stay on the Gower. The bungalow has been fantastic - thank you so much for the welcoming touches - eggs, wine, cake and biscuits. They were much appreciated. Everything was so clean and comfortable.  We were blessed with lovely weather and enjoyed the breathtaking views and sunsets. Had some lovely meals at the Britannia - but have to confess we did go in the car - that hill would have beaten us! Also we thought the shop was a godsend - well stocked and so friendly!  This is truly a lovely village.
All the best to you both for your retirement.

Pat and Colin Richards and Frieia Stratford upon Avon (18/06 - 25/06/22)

Thank you another lovelly holiday here. Best wishes for your retirement. Thanks too for the welcome pack. Fizz in the garden on arrival. Wonderful.

Gerry & Lyn, Dorset (14/05 - 21/05/22)

Another fabulous week in this lovely bungalow. This view is spectacular and ever changing. The walking straight from the door is varied and Mother Nature puts on a spectacular display. So sorry it will be our last visit but wish you both a happy retirement. Very best wishes.

David and Jackie Richardson Sutton Coalfield (07/05 - 14/05/22)

We had a wonderful stay here. The view is amazing and the weather was great. An amazing time

The Malloys (16/04 - 23/04/22

We have loved admiring the views and relaxing. Watching the birds has been a joy. We had a few foggy days and loved seeing the view gradually reavealing itself as the warm sun burnt through.
This is a lovely home to stay in and we were happy to be able to bring Mr Jed our dog. The welcome psck was very much appreciated. Thank you.

Mal & Nise, New Forest (09/04 - 16/04/22)

Another fabulous week at Applecroft. Always so sad to leave, we had the most amazing weather, and Dilly the dog has had the best walks of her life so far along the sands. Normally a little anxious she was in heaven, and Barney although we had to help him up some hills as he's getting on was hugely happy.
Thank you so much Roger and Menna, I am so grateful for being able to stay at Applecroft over the years.

Anne and Richard, Hants (19/03 - 26/03/22)
Our fourth visit to Applecroft. Our favourite home from home!  Awesome views, excellent walks from the door. Extremely comfortable and well equipped.
Thank you for your wonderful hospitality again and all the little extras. We have had a wonderful week - the weather has been kind to us.
We have enjoyed the peace and quiet in the area and have walked many miles this week.
As always we have had a wonderful time here at Applecroft - impossible to bear it!
Thank you
Richard and Ann, Warwick (12/03 - 19/03/22)

Another awesome stay at Applecroft - truly a home from home, with every comfort thought of. We've had a wonderful relaxing time, with several visits to, and takea way from The Britania, which Milo also loved! Thank you once again Menna & Roger for making us so welcome and ensuring our stay once again has been fantastic.
We are already looking forward to our stay later in the year and taking advantage once again of all Applecroft has to offer.

Janen, Brian and Milo Wiltshire (26/02 - 12/03/22)

A truly awesome break after 2 years ov Covid and many cancelled holidays. Despite the aftermath of Storm Eunice and then Storm Frankling we managed to see most of the Peninsular and 3 amazing walks over hills, along beaches, amongst sand dunes. The views were spectacular. Gower is definitely a hidden treasure and to top it all, the cottage was perfect and all the goodies left for us very much appreciated.
Thanks Roger & Menna. Looking back through this book there are many people who will be sorry to see you give this up!

Bill & Sally Buckinghanshire (19/02-26/02/22)

We have had a wonderful break here at Applecroft. Despite storm Eunice giving us an exciting visit. We have had some beautiful wild walks. Thank you Menna & Roger for creating a very welcoming holiday home. You've done such a faboulous job. The goodies are very much appreciated too.
All the best.

Fi, Mark  Great Sampford, Essex (12/02 - 19/02/22)

We had a lovely time here at Applecroft. This is our 2nd visit and wouln't be our last

Chris & Natalie, Malvern (29/12/21 - 04/12/22)

We had a fantastic Christmas break at Applecroft. We loved the view which was ever changing and fantastic walks from the door. Applecroft was spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. Thank you for all the goodies and presents.

Clare, Ade, and Dixie, Ross on Wye (24/12 - 29//12/21)

Well the time has come to say another "goodbye to Llanmadoc" many thanks to you both for thinking of us - Applecroft is absolutely fantastic, can see why it is Llanmadoc's number one holiday let!!

Alison and Jeff Card, Balloch, Inverness. ( 29/11 - 06/12/21)

Our second visit - forgotten how amazing the area & cottage were. We never tired of the ever changing  views from the cottage and this time managed to walk out to the lighthouse. A different walk each day.
After the deluge on arrival and very windy on Sunday, we were very lucky with the weather, making for a most enjoyable holiday. We appreciate the goodies and would love to return.
Thank you Menna & Roger for a holiday postponed from last Xmas due to covid - well worth the wait.

Clive & Falicity & Max, Somerset. (30/10 - 06/11/21)

Another wonderful week at Applecroft. The weather hasn't been the best, but we have done well dodging the rain and enjoying many fabulous walks. We will miss the comfy and cosy Applecroft - it certainly is a fantastic bungalow.
Many thanks for the goodies - very kind of you both. We have had a great week - looking forward to visiting again.

Teresa and Jeff, Bedfordshire. (23/12 - 30/10/21)

Lovely to return to Applecroft, spotless and sparkling as usual. Different from the fine weather in April but despite thunder, lightning, gales and rain we went out walking every day, often from the house but also on the south coast, and over Cefn Bryn. It was interesting to watch the harbour light at Burry Port changing from red to green whenever the tide was high enough for safe entry.
The oven ceased working one night but, amazingly Roger and Menna had the electrician in the next day, and went to buy a new oven, neatly installed by that evening!
Thank you both for making everything so efficient and welcoming. The welcome goodies were much appreciated - particularly the delicious Bara Brith!!

Pat and Micheal (Solihull) & Jennifer N. Oxford)  16/10 - 22/10/21)
We have had alovely week here in LLanmadog. TRhe view from the bungalow the walks of which there are many, are fabulous.
No need to cook! lovely food at The Brittania Inn and The Kings Head at Llangennith. Our two spaniels had a great time exploring new territory. Thank you Menna & Roger for the goodie's on arrival, much appreciated. On top of that the weather was perfect for the time of year!! All in all 'Brilliant'

Nick Dowling, Warminster.  (09/10 - 16/10/21)

Yet another fantastic stay in this lovel, y relaxing, breath taking views, cottage. Each time it gets better & better. It's said never come back, it won't be the same. Well, we have and we cannot wait until the next time. Menna & Roger are perfect hosts. Nothing is too much trouble. Even leaving eggs in a basket outside the porch door!! This time as two week stay (with thanks to the folks who follow us) Enjoy make the most of whats around you it goes so fast.

Diolch, Brian, Jane & Milo, Melksham, Wiltshire. (25/09 - 0910/21)

Our second time in Llanmadoc but first at Applecroft. Thank you so much for the welcome pack and extremely comfortable stay. Our favourite walks were Rhossili Bay and Llanmadoc Hill, the later being particularly hilly but the views from the top is so worth it. It was so nice not to be driving around to all the tourist attractions and just enjoy walks from the cottage and easy meals and the odd takeaway from the Britannia.

Trevor and Pam Thompson, Ukfield, East Sussex (18/09 - 25/09/21)

Well yet again another peaceful and relaxing stay, always a pleasure to come back to. The Kings Head is a must for food and The Joiners (Three Crosses) for a drink. Found so many new and interesting walks right from the front door. The beach will give you time and time again memories to keep. Why wouldn't you want to come back here, it's pure bliss and we will miss it all so very much.

Gill and Dave Griffiths, Sedgly, West Mids (11/09 - 17/09/21)

Have had a super week - the bungalow was a real home from home with stunning views. Thewelcome pack was second to none- wonderful suprise. Menna and Roger were so helpful with directions and advice where to visit. Thank you very much. Great week.

Carol and Jim Bobby, Suffolk (05/09 - 11/09/21)

Our stay was fantastic as allways. We walked and overall had a wonderful time. A wonderfull place to stay. LOLO will be coming back next year.

The Maloys, Reading (10/08/ - 17/08/21)

Thank you Roger and Menna for a wonderful stay.

Louise, Steve, Thomas & Jack,  Beds  (29/05 - 05/06/21)

If you can tolerate a couple of steep hills, we recommend the Llanmadoc Hill circular walk, the views are even better than from the cottage! Lots of good places to eat out at, we all enjoyed the food at the Britania Inn. Now the difficult bit, do we stay here again or explore a different part of Wales?  I'm torn.
Like everyone else, we had a fantastic week here. From the moment we walked in, we relaxed. Applecroft is so well equipped and very clean. I love the smells as we opened each of the doors - so fresh! We will be really sorry to leave and will miss the view. This is the first cottage holiday where we have wanted to stay here rather than go out - it's been just the tonic.

Many thanks Janet & Barry Five Oak Green, Kent. (05/06 - 12/06/21)

Hopefully we will return one day.
Thank you for your generosity with the welcome treats.
It has all been said so many times before how good Applecroft is and its all true.
Well we finally made it to Applcroft after cancellations and delays due to Covid, but it was so worth it.

Robin & Joy, Abingdon, Oxford. (12/06 - 19/06/21)

Thanks for your generous welcome pack - great to come back from our walks to a cuppa and a slice of Bara Brith. ( Britannia does good chips)
We have enjoyed all the local recommended walks - with some variations, plus into Weobley Castle. The weather has been perfect and it was so lovely to see all the beautiful wild flowers in the burrows and lanes, and the buttercup meadows. We only felt the need to take the car out once and that was to view The Worm and walk over Rhossili Down.
This is the first time we have been to North Gower and Applecroft is the best holiday cottage we have ever stayed in. The cottage so clean, comfortable, well equipped and stunning situation.

Thank you Linda, Rob, & Lucy, Spalding, Lincs (26/06 - 03/07/21)

Thanks for a lovely stay. The Cottage is so clean and comfortable, also very well equipped. The views are wonderful and you would never tire of seeing those. Thank you also for the welcome pack, the Bara Brith was excellent. The Gower is a beautiful part of the country and a trip to Rhossili should not be missed. We have really enjoyed our stay here and now feel relaxed.
Sue & Colin & Alfie & Holly, Cheltenham. ( 3/07 - 10/07/21)

A wonderful stay at Applecroft so welcoming and everything you could need. The setting is simply breathtaking. As others have said the B|ara Brith was lovely and thank you for the "home grown" We are looking forward already to return next year. Thank you Menna and Roger.

Chris and Mike Grover, Sheffield (10/07 - 17/07/21)

We have been to the Gower many times but this is the best house and best view we have ever had. The weather was an added bonus. Thank you Menna and Roger.

Sian, Lee, Ted, Ben and Poppy, Cheltenham (17/07 - 24/07/21)

"Heat wave Week"  What a truly wonderful surprise when we arrived here. I knew from the reviews how highly the cottage is rated and even before we stayed have booked again for next year!! We were not expecting it to be this perfect though!! We've been coming to this village for years but will not want to stay anywhere else. Beautifully clean, well equiped, fabulous views great welcome pack and the nicest, dog friendly garden.

Our first visit to Applecroft and what can we say other than echo everyone else's comments!  We have been so relaxed and comfortable in this well looked after, homely thoroughly clean bungalow. Menna and Roger very friemdly asnd had left an amazing welcome pack.
Beautiful walks and beaches. Walking to the top of Llanmadoc Hill a must - the views all around are fantastic. Food in the Britania Inn wery good, friendly staff, welcoming.
Thank you very much Menna and Roger.

Best wishes Michelle & Peter, Weston - Super - Mare (22/05 - 29/05/21)

We made it at last! After a couple of Covid lockdown delays we have been fortunate to revisit Applecroft.
Thank you Roger & Menna for your wonderful hospitality and the wonderful little extras we have enjoyed during the week. We love the views from the house and have managed some lovely walks during the better weather at the start of the week. We have only used the car twice!
The house has been extremely warm & comfortable - the new bed - wish I could take it home!
Rocky (13) has really enjoyed his walks and has made himself at home too. We are both looking forwards to our next visit in March next year.

Many thanks, Richard, Anne and Rocky, Norton Lindsey, Warks ( 15/05 - 22/05/21)

One last look at that fabulous view we never tire of our visits to Applecroft. So good to return for the fifth time! Such a wonderful bolt-hole that you make so special. Thanks again for such an enjoyable stay and catching up with you Roger and Menna. Here's to next June 2022!!

Our very best, Jan Del & Barney, Market Harbourough ,Leics  (08/05 - 15/05/21)

We have really enjoyed our stay in this delightful bungalow it has everything we required, warm and tastefully decorated a real home from home and the welcome goodies were a real treat.
Loved the area and the pub at the bottom of the hill serves great food. Molly the dog enjoyed all the wonderful walks and so did I!
Many thanks Menna and Roger it's been a wonderful week in Llanmadoc and Applecroft.

Best wishes Jeanne, John & Molly Torrington N Devon (1/05 - 08/05/21)

Wow, what a beautiful bungalow. Very well equipped comfortable and maintained to a high standard.
The location and views are stunning. The varied walks straight from the from door made the car redundant for the week. The hedgerows are bursting with spring flowers and we heard our first cuckoo and saw our first swallow of the year.
Whilst looking through his scope for wading birds David spotted a rather large bird in the form of an RAF Hercules Transport plane practicing touch downs and take offs on Pembrey sands. Went on for a couple of hours until the incoming tide stopped operations!!
It has been a perfect week and real tonic after lockdown restrictions.
Thank you for all the welcome goodies, the home made Bara Brith was delicious.
We leave  reluctantly but will be back.

Jackie & David Sutton Coldfield (24/04 - 30/04/21)

We were so fortunate to be the first into Applecroft after the relaxation of Covid regulations. Thank you Menna and Roger for your kind support during the weeks of uncertanty. The cottage and its position are wonderful. It is equipped so thoroughly and thoughtfully, and we have been very comfortable and happy here. Thank you for your generous welcome pack. On several days we enjoyed walking locally - to Whitford Point and the Burrows, over Llanmadoc hill and the Bulwalk; along the sea wall and stepping stones to North Hill Tor. We also had a long wonderful walks from Rhossili to Mewslade, Thrumba Head and beyond; from Three Cliffs, Tor Bay etc. and from Oxwich around the headland to Horton.
We have been blessed by beautiful sun and blue skies, though a strong chilly east wind. It has been a memorable, exhilarating week (and we even managed the different recycling bags!)
Thank you both again for making us so welcome and comfortable.

Pat and Micheal (Solihull) Jennifer (Oxford)  (17/04 - 23/04/21)

Many thanks to Roger & Menna for a wonderful stay in your immaculate cottage with stunning views. We hope to return.

Val, Brian & Rosie Dorset. (19/09 - 26/09/2020

This has been our first visit to Applecroft and has been just perfect. From the lovely welcome from Roger & Menna, the outstanding views (photos don't do it justice) the lovely welcome pack and beautiful house itself (again the photos don't do it justice) There are so many lovely walks and gorgeous views wherever you look. This has done us all a world of good after all the covid lockdowns and we have really felt our spirits lift so thank you so much. We're only sorry we can't stay forever, but we'd love to come back.
Mant thanks and thanks for the beautiful weather - what a bonus.

Clair, Lee, Nicky & Cooper, Bristol (12/09 - 19/09/2020)

Thank you Menna & Roger for our generous welcome pack and all the little extras. We realise that this has been a very trying time with the virus and how hard you have both worked to ensure we are safe whilst staying here. Applecroft always looks fantastic and never disappoints.
See you in October.

Wendy, Jenny & Lolle, Balsall Common Mids (05/09 - 12/09/20)

Many thanks again for superb accommodation the many extras all enjoyed.
Stayed more local this time because of bank holiday traffic, did not use the car so much. Did all our usual walks. Food at the Britannia is excellent, very good choice for vegetarions. You are fully booked for next year which is excellent for you after such a bad year, not so good for us- but hopefully will be returning again. Many thanks.

Di and Arthur Ward, Quedgely, Glos. (28/09 - 05/09/20)
Our stay was amazing as always we did lots of new activities and walks and enjoyed ourselves, even with the weather against usit was a great week. We will be coming back next year and are exited to come again.

The Malloys xxx Reading (15/08 - 22/08/2020)

We enjoyed our stay and we had a great time. The view is amazing and has some great beaches and walks. We evem learnt how to surf. This is our second time staying here and we are staying next year too. Yes I'm 10 and called Rose.

Thanks for the amazing stay! Rose and family xxx  Sheffield (08/08 - 15/08/2020)

First visit to the Gower, and what a find! lovely, clean, cottage with stunning views and lovley hosts. Cottage is most well equipped and well thought out we have stayed in - and there has been many!!  Great weather, almost too hot for walking Hugo. Brittania Inn very friendly and welcoming, great staff! Favourite walk - drive to Port Eynon and then walk back along coastal path - trully stunning and varied. Fish and chips in Penclawdd - enormous!! (Free Parking opposite) Village shop is great for essentials.
We will be back!!

Sarah, Adey & Hugo Norwich, Norfolk (18/07 -  26/07/20)

After spending such a long time in lockdown the feeling of being able to relax in such a comfortable, sparkling clean house in the beautiful Gower has been exactly what we needed. The many and varied walks have been amazing with such stunning beaches and outstanding views - Whiteford Point, Llanmadoc Hill, Rhossili Downs to name just a few; then to be able to come back to such a lovely house has been a great boost for us and hope that it will be eaqually so for those lucky enough to stay hear after us.  Thank you Menna & Roger for being so helpful and to all your attention to detail

Andy & Liz, Stroud, Glos (11/07/20 - 18/07/20)

Another amazing stay in Applecroft - a definite home from home, with wonderful views, comfort, decor and careful thought gone into looking after guests. The only problem is that more people are finding out about it, so we're fearful it may get fully booked all year!!  Good thing we're already booked in or autumn! Menna & Roger are wonderful hosts - unobtrusive, but so friendly & welcoming & the welcome pack on arrival is outstanding!  This is by far the best holiday home we have stayed in. Thoroughly recommended & we're already looking forward to September!

Brian & Jane, Wiltshire (14/02 - 25/02/20)

Amazing week. First time ever in the Gower and not our last. We hope to make Applecroft our base.
Fab cottage with amazing views and a calmness - dogs settled immediately. Weather mixed so stayed local mainly - walked to Whiteford ( right out of cottage and down past caar park and through NT a must - many paths). Also Rhossili & Three Cliffs fantastic (20mins & 30 mins- be careful of following of following live sat nav to Three Cliffs - tries to take you on some silly single tracks - stay on the B roads)
Brittania Inn here in the village - best food maybe we've ever had. Visited 3 times - amazing.
Thanks to Menna & Roger . We hope to return.

Linda, Teresa & pouches. (04/01 - 11/01/20)

We have had a wonderful stay at Applecroft this New Year week. We love the village, local walks and views to the bay and, as the weather has mostly held out, thats what we have got to enjoy a restful break. Thank you so much for your hospitality Menna & Roger, we enjoyed the goodies you left, the christmas tree and fire every evening. You really have thought of everything for a relaxing stay and my gosh that King size bed is so comfortable!! It has also been an ideal place to bring our dog away with the enclosed rear garden, he has certainly loved the beach walks. We will be back for sure! Wishing you both a wonderful 2020.

Natalie, Chris & Monty, Worcestershire. (29/12 - 04/01/20)

Thank you so much Menna and Roger for your lovely cottage and brilliant load of goodies including Christmas tree (very tastefully decorated) We have had a very relaxing time over xmas week. Pretty much everything we needed has been thought of. The cottage is very smart (the best hols cottage we have stayed in) and well kept, very happy customers, we will be back.

Gail, Sandy & Charlie, Wiltshire. (21/12 - 28/12/19)

Well Menna and Roger another sad goodbye to "Applecroft"  Thank you for making us feel so welcome as you always do wjth your warm greeting and welcome pack. Cassie too has enjoyed her stay with her walks through the woods and in the sand dunes along the "very crowded" beach!!  So once again thank you and see you again in the future.

Nigel,Gill & Cassie, Evesham Worcs. (23/11 - 30/11/19)

Thank you again for another 'home from home; break. Yet again a lovelly birthday wek has been spent here. Beautiful walks on the beach and the Brittania and The King Arthur in Reynoldston are a must. Good local village shop and even if its a bad day out we don't feel you need to go anywhere not with the views and warmth at Applecroft. Must be honest didn't think I would miss the log burner as much but with the promise it will be there to use next year we will be back.

Gail & Dave Griffiths West Mids ( 26/10 - 02/11/19)

Another fabulous week at Applecroft. Lovelly cottage with stunning views. We've had a wonderful stay on Gower, our first (not last). Stunning views over Lougher Estuary were ever changing and addictive. Llanmadoc is a wonderful, friendly village. Great pub and shop. We enjoyed many beach walks with the dog and various pubs of which the Britannia was our favourite. Pity the King Arthur at Reynoldston doesn't allow dogs inside. The various goodies in our welcome pack were the best we've had - very generous. The free roaming sheep and ponies were a lovely sight - especially outside the King Arthur. Thank you Menna & Roger for your lovely cottage. We'll be back.

Clive & Felicity Ham & Max, Somerset. (05/10 - 12/10/19)

We have loved our stay here and are dragging our heela at having to leave. Menna & Roger have really made a home from home, sparkling clean with all the kitchen equipment etc you'r likely to need. The views are to die for and the website pictures really donn't do it justice. A lot of thought and care has gone into everything here, including all the added extras, ie fresh eggs, milk, wonderful cake, chocs, wine, biscuits & even spare toothbrushetc, just in case. We will definately be back - thank you so much.

Jane & Brian Dibble, Wiltshire (28/09 - 05/10/19)

Roger and Menna have been very thoughtful hosts, nothing is too much. On arrival, they provided a fantastic amount of 'extras' - milk OJ, cake, bisquits, sweets and more. We loved the homegrown tomatoes! Thank you so much for the welcome.

The Gudgeons, Sheffield. (13/08 - 31/08/19)

We stayed a 3min walk from friends. The walks here are fab. There are too many highlights and not enough paper - the children (7-9) enjoyed their stay, as well as Billy the dog. We've loved our stay so much that we have already booked to come back next year! see you then Roger and Menna.

A wonderful holiday let! Applecroft's views are breathtaking and the attention to detail by the hosts Roger and Menna is really commendable. Thank you for all the welcoming kittle touches - bottle of wine, cakes etc and the milk in the fridge.  Everything added together to make us feel welcome and gave us a wonderful holiday with all the comforts of home.

Despite the wet weather we have been very comfortable in this homely and well appointed bungalow.
We appreciated your thoughtful "welcome pack" as we looked out over the changing scenes and moods of the coastline. Impressive views from the cairn on Llanmadoc Hill. Enjoyed the swallows living under the gable!

The Britannia is well worth going to for a drink, food and hospitality. There aren't many places that I really want to go back to, but this is a must. Actually made me cry as I'm writing this. So roll on next October when we will be back.

Our first Christmas away from home for years, decades even, so it was a bit of a gamble! Delighted to discover that we were Applecroft's first Christmas guests, and overwhelmed by the special welcome - not just the bara brith etc. etc. etc.but the Christmas tree, the Christmas decorations, the candles, even the Christmas loo rolls! We've been made so welcome by Roger and Menna and have thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Lots of walking (and mud!) and the Britannia down the hill and the King's Head in Llangennith are exactly what pubs should be.

June and Roger Butcher, Hemel Hemsted (13/09/14 - 20/09/14)

We have driven a very long way from our house in Spain for this holiday, and it has been worth every hour behind the wheel.  I would hate to guess how many times we have simply had to stop and say 'Isn't this beautiful' over the last few weeks. This applies, not only to the amazing ambience of the local countryside, but also to the views from inside Applecroft.  Without doubt, my much travelled wife & I, together with our little dog, have just experienced our best holiday over - here, in Llanmadoc, and, in particular, in Applecroft.
Thank you Menna & Roger for enabling us to do so.

An amazing house in a stunning location, in a really beautiful part of Wales. Some of the best beaches we have been to. Oxwich, Three Cliffs, Rhossili and Llangennith all a must.  Fantastic hosts with some very welcome extras.
